People in India wear many different kinds of clothing. The variety depends on a lot of factors, some of which include climate, ethnicity, geography, and traditions. Western clothing such as jeans and t-shirts are common in urban cities. In villages you will find people wearing traditional clothing. For women, some popular styles are the sari, shalwar kameez, churidaar kurta, and ghagra choli. Indian jewellery is very common among women, especially on special occasions. For men, popular styles are dhoti, sherwani, and kurta pajama.
